The Delaware Valley Historic Radio Club (DVHRC) was founded in 1992 by Jay Daveler and a small group of radio enthusiasts from the Philadelphia area.

The first meeting was held on February 4, 1992 and hosted by Tony Mollettiere at his business, North Penn Amusements in Souderton, PA.  Thirteen people attended including Jay Daveler (President),  Larry Hilgner (Vice-president), John Kern (Treasurer), Tony Mollettiere (Secretary) and his wife Sylvia, Pete and Jan Grave, Arnold Finkel and his wife, Mike Koste and Charlie Class.

Shortly thereafter, meetings were moved to their current location, the Telford Community Center in Telford, PA.

Over the years, the club has sponsored a twice-yearly swap meet.  Beginning in Souderton, PA then Buckingham, PA, Downingtown, PA and Havertown, PA, the meet has found a permanent home in Kutztown, PA at Renninger's Farmer's Market, an ideal location with plenty of covered space, parking and a nearby Farmer's Market with food and other attractions.

(Thanks to Mike Koste who provided the bulk of the information in this article.  More research is in progress to expand on this very short history page.)

Text Box: The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 13, 7:30 PM at the Telford Community Center.
